Here's some
back to school reminders!

Driver tips:

SLOW DOWN - especially in
residential neighborhoods & school zones.
  • STOP - for flashing school buses!
  • Take time to LOOK for kids at intersections, medians or curbs.
  • Enter or exit driveways & alleys carefully.
  • Reduce distractions inside your car to focus on road.
NO texting or talking on phone when driving.

Parents talk to your kids & ensure:

  • Kids cross the street with an adult until at least 10 years old.
  • Kids cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks.
  • NEVER run out into street or cross in between parked cars.
  • Walk in front of bus ONLY after driver gives OK & ONLY after looking both ways.
  • Promote safety programs to raise awareness.
